Welcome to Berry Pomeroy Parochial CE Primary School
Children are at the heart of our school and together with the staff, we all strive for excellence, with the understanding that mistakes made along the way are all a part of learning. We strive to develop children who possess the knowledge and skills, and who display the character traits to make them lifelong learners. Of course, academic success is important but above this is the importance to instil a love of learning for now and the future, in our children.
We aim to live by our ethos values of forgiveness, friendship, trust, responsibility and respect, which are distinctively Christian, and developed in an environment of mutual respect and understanding. These are supported by our three learning values of: independence, collaboration and creativity, which together enable children to drive and be successful in their own learning.
In order to ensure that learning is deep, the curriculum at Berry Pomeroy is real-life and experience-led. Our curriculum aims to prepare our children for the future as it is fed by rich knowledge and built on character values. Throughout the year, the children are going to be making links with the local community to give them an opportunity to make a significant, positive difference to the world around them. In everything they do, our children are strongly encouraged to be the best that they can possibly be.
We hope this site gives you an insight into our school. If you have any questions or would like to visit us, we would encourage you to come and see the enthusiasm of our children at work. We look forward to welcoming you.
